I have been told I have to do some tests? Does anyone know what is involved???

yeah. it's basically to measure you're skills. It's pretty simple. Just so that they have an idea of who they're going to be selling to the firmst (your future employer). I work in HR and we like these tests, because we get a good idea of the candidate.

It could be a number of things from an assessment of your IT skills, through to your English/Maths ability.

Last time I tried one of these things; the Excel Assment system was useless; if had none of the short cuts in and zero of the functionality. I did really badly because I knew too much about the system.

It depends on what type of job you are going for.
Im a secretary and when I sign up to agencies I have to do a typing test, and tests on the microsoft packages (word, excel, powerpoint) etc.

It is difficult to say, unless you say what job(s) you are going for.
If it is an IT or office agency, it may involve some practical computer knowledge tests, it may be one of the psychometric tests, or it could be a general knowledge quiz
