I'm sorry...people are very judgemental. They do not like what they don't understand. You believe whatever you want and try not to let what others say bother you so much. It's your life.

if you don't believe then thats what you are and I think its better to say it then to protest to believe then have doubts Freedom of religionor lack of is your choice. I dislike anyone attacking someone just because they don't have a basic understanding of religion. THere may come a time when you may change your views, but no one attacks a persons beliefs So whats the big thing . Don't let it get you bent out of shape there are alot of
so called believers only to sat they believe in somthing at least you are honest and not a hyprpocrite

I don't know. I know a lot of GOOD people with no God in their lives, and a lot of nasty people who claim to worship a GOD.

There are also GOOD people with God, but they are often overbearingly enthusiastic about pushing their beliefs, which make them intrusive and annoying.

There's got to be a balance somewhere. I think the people with more good than god have found it.

Oh, and Asher - God backwards is Dog
Devil backward is Lived

Sometimes, it's a dogs life

Two possibilities
Either they care too much for you and burn midnight oil to find ways for your salvation
Or they are afraid that your logical and scientific arguments would make their life miserable, given their bread and butter lie in their capability to create their kind of faith

In both such cases, they are proved to be non-believers. In the first case since they doubt God's ability to mend you. In the second case because they think your arguments can carry the day.
Are you sure these are believers who are all over you like a rash?

dont worry i dont worship a deity either, most people should be good enough to respect your opinions but unfortunatly there are still a lot of people who think they can "save your soul" from what though i still have not gathered lol... i have these two jehovah's witnesses who vist my business premises every two weeks to drop off their local magazine... i invite them in we have something to drink, a bit of a laugh etc etc, they know not to bring up religion since my arguments are quite sound, the fact is they have faith i dont, and i dont faith in a deity i just need faith in myself.

Good - an O =God
Evil + a D = Devil

Thats about as close as i get to looking at those words lol..laters and good luck fending them off!!

“The wisest men follow their own direction.” – Euripides

"those that don't follow a God cannot be trusted as they do not follow any rules except those made by other people." - Thomas Moor's Utopia.

Science cannot explain and prove their theories about the beginning of the universe. Evangelizes want to enlighten you. Don't you care about what they are saying to you? They try to convert you because they care about you. They are not angry with you, and if they are angry then they obviously don't follow their own faith properly (depending on the religion).

people are often just looking for an excuse to be mad at somebody about something. if you do something that clearly marks you as different, then you make an easy target. in many cases religious people with aspirations of piety and ambitions of a nice high chair in heaven don't realize how much anger they have to express or they have totally unhealthy ways of dealing with their dirty sinful parts.

That is a problem i have also, i do not want to be associated with something that has caused more deaths and suffering in this world.
I do not have a problem with other peoples beliefs, to each his own, but please do not ostracize people who choose not to believe, that is our right as it is also your right to believe, if you get comfort from this i have no issue.

They fear controversy. The thought that THEY may be wrong about the existence of their God terrifies them. BTW, why apologize? You have done nothing wrong. I am also one of those who tends to take a scientific view of creation and existence rather than basing my beliefs on fiction and fables.

They are tyrants who want to force their beliefs upon everyone all too often. My oldest sister is like that. I quit speaking to her. It's easy to understand why preachers are eager to convert you. If you attend their churches, you contribute to the regular offering, special offering and building fund (actually the buy the preacher new suits, new cars and new watches funds)!
