its not true that first love is the true one. in fact first love is the most immature one. u learn something from ur previous relationship, grow up little, become little more mature n move on to next relationship. so u see, true love arises when a person is mature.
its true that when u break up, u still have some feelings left but then u cant eradicate every memory just like that. that doesnt mean u feel that way coz it was a true love.

First love isn't always the true love just as the way you may really really love someone in your third relationship and believe he/she is the one and it might not work at the end of the day. The only thing is that with first love, one is coming out of his or her naivety to experience the beauty of a relationship for the first time like first kiss, first sex e.t.c. and it becomes like a bond even after the breakup but its quite rare for people to actually end up marrying their first loves.

If its also true love, don't you think that if that person is destined to be with you, (whether the person is the first or last), the person will come back to you even after the breakup but unfortunately this isn't always so.

A lot of times first love is puppy love and passes in time. When you have true love, that love never goes away, even when the relationship does. All you need is love is wrong. You need compatibility also. You have to be wiling to compromise. You both have to be willing to work at a relationship. I have fallen in love with men that the relationships just didn't work out for one reason or another. It does not mean I do not love them, though I usually refer to it as care at that point. It is difficult to attain that kind of connection with someone and simply let it go. That is the reason many date each other more than once.

When you fall in love for the first time, you THINK its forever and you THINK that this is the person who you should be with for the rest of your life, but thats just being naive and being blinded by the feelings you have...

I've been in love three times now, and i can definately say that i haven't loved anyone as much as i did the first time i was in love, becuase you let yourself fall completely and utterly in love with that person because you know no different. but when it comes to the second and third time... you've already felt the heartache of the breakup and now you don't let yourslef fall so far in love as to avoid the heartache IF/WHEN you break up with this person.

theres nothing worse than the feeling of heartache and nothing seems to shift it. So, the answer to your question is yes and no...
YES: it is true love... if this is your first love, chances are you won't feel this way about someone else for a LONG time if at all. so make the most of it while you can.. go out with this person for as LONG as you both psyically can.
but NO: because you'll see afterwards how jaded you were by it all..

and of course after you break up you'll still love the person, but after a while you won't be IN love with them any more...
coz i can definately say i still love all the girls i've loved... but i'm not IN love with anyof them at the moment.

hope this helps

DEFINITELY NOT TRUE! The saying 'first love never dies' is simply an old wives tale.. Is this saying is true, I'm sure there'll be no such thign as 'moving on' and 'ex'. Based from personal experience, I broke up with my first BF (who is also my first love) and there is really no hard feelings between us.. But whenever we meet or talk, the 'spark' is simply isn't there..

There are times wherein we think that we are falling again for our 'ex' but the truth is that we are feelign somewhat disappointed of what happened to our past relation and there is this instinct that we wanted to give it a second chance.. Just to see if it will work out or not.. It is simply out of curiosity.. This happened to me too..

Be sure of your feelings and don't mistake curiosity, disappointment and 'what-ifs' from LOVE..

I dont think that your first love is the true love. It is entirely possible to fall out of love with someone. Supposed you found out the person you were in love with cheated on you etc. alyhough i cant speak from personal experience because i have never been in love. Hope this helps.

it is possible that they still love each other....and it is also possible that it could be their true love but on the other hand it is also possible that it is not. Time can only define true love with so much it could take..it could give..it could sacrifice...it could endure. Usually after a breakup feelings could still be there....sometimes still fresh....but most of the time it is get over when we find our new love. But when it comes back...it could be your true love. Perhaps when we love it's always true but it ends when we stop understanding and giving ...that's why they end up breaking the relationship.

I do still have feelings for my first love.. but we went our separate ways.. I'm married and having a baby and hes engaed to someone else. I beleive that there will always be a place in my heart for him however I know that we will never be together again. We are still close friends!

There will always be a space reserved in your heart for your first love. You never not love them, you just move on. Eventually, your heart grows bigger to love other people too. But first, it mourns the first love, as long as it takes.

no and yes
when you know you know.
I think your first "love" has a special place just because it was the first time you experienced it and its more memorable...or something along those lines.
First times are more innocent because as you get older more stuff comes into it.
ie they never paid bills, they never cleaned the house, they drank too much,
When your younger its simplier then the now so looking back its ah why arent I with them anymore....ok Im rambling now but I think or hope you know where Im coming from.....what was the question again?
