What is the best way to clean an oven with out using chemical cleaners?

Warm the oven and then mix water with bicarbonated soda in to a paste. Do not use a scourer or you will take the paintwork off cooker use a soft plastic one and this should lift the grease and clean it without using dangerous cleaners. I also put a bit of washing up liquid in and use paper towels to wipe out and then soft damp cloth after. Soak the grills in warm soapy water and do the same with them. It works for me.

Place thick layers of newspapers in oven and saturate with white vinegar. Let set overnight. Your oven will be clean and easy to wipe down but it is kinda messy. Have a large bucket handy to throw out the newspapers.

place a glass baking pan in the oven and fill with ammonia leave overnight or longer if the oven is really bad all the gunk will wipe right off with a wet rag. It works Iv'e done it

well use a steam cleaner which would help clean the oven

The easiest way is to simply do it with mild detergent & soft brush after every use....Don'y always practise what I preach but it definitely works.

you could leave it on its highest temp for 4 hours (at least). But leave the house as all the burning will produce a horrible smell

borak bi carb and baking powder made to a paste then clean as normal anthea turner said it works
