The most prolific striker is Ian Rush! True Hero! But its hard to say who is the greatest ever there has been so many greats over the years. My personal opinion is:
1) Kenny Dalglish - Great all round player still regarded as our greatest ever PLAYER
2) Ian Rush - Could score with his eyes closed
3) Robbie Fowler - If it wasn't for injury and Houllier would of went on to eclipse all previous goal scoring records
4) Roger Hunt - More league goals than any other Liverpool player!
5) Micheal Owen - I know how he left wasn't great but we will all always wonder what if he would of put his faith in Rafa?

Ian Rush is the all time Liverpool top scorer, he scored 346 in all competitions. But the league goals record is Roger Hunt, which has stood at 245 since 1970
