I'm a 15 yeard old goalie, and my pads are getting small. I live abroad, but I'm visiting Toronto this winter. My ideal pad size is 34 inches...any suggestions? I can't really afford to drop $600 on a pair of pads. I play standup with a bit of sprawling, if that makes any difference.

I remember needing new pads at your age as well, if you can wait until you are in Toronto, there are dozens of used sporting goods stores as well as pawn shops where you may be able to get a decent pad for 1/2 price. The nice part about buying used is no break-in time. Any pro teams in your area? Sometimes you can get hold of a local semi-pro team and they can help you as well. Universities with hockey programs have extra equipment at times too. Good luck, keep your stick on the ice. And keep the sprawling to a minimum.
