Even if we did i think it is immaterial. Consciousness as we know it does not allow for after-life memories.
But that is my opinion :-)

Assuming there are future re-births, how do we account for the person being the same?
As the chaos theory has it that small changes could affect the outcomes drastically, the experience would be altered so much beyond our recognitions.
If the experience could not be the same, isn't therefore the person different? Like twins are not the exact copies of the same person, the future self is not the same neither.
Consider also that people changes over the years, one could literally meet the same identity, but see a totally different person.

Belief on reincarnation is something that has to be proven, while there are people who are proned to believing in future rebirths, some are not and will not believe in such rebirths. We cannot give due credence to this reincarnation notion unless a solid proof is presented and actually happened to a person.

time is very long. maybe you will meet your sister again in 200 years somewhere in Africa or Asia. or maybe you will not see her again for another 10 billion years and it will be in another galaxy. we go where we are needed. sometimes that can affect who we will see again. at the same time, we are all always together and seperation is only a temporary illusion. it's hard to say anything with certainty, except that things are a long way from being over yet. but given the duration of things to come I think it's very likely that you will meet everybody again and you will be together with them at elngth. so try to get along with people reasonably well, I guess.

Death is final, so there are no rebirths. Reincarnation is in Hinduism and its offshoots, e.g. Buddhism, Jainism, etc., but few Americans believe in them.

I think some of them. I think there are some people that will be key figures throughout all of our lives. Me and my step sister are soul mates and think we must have been real sisters in at least one previous life!
