Love 'em! They're my hubby's favourite band and over the years, I have grown to enjoy their music too! We were there in the 70s when punk first came out and it was a fantastic time for music, culture and fashion. Good times.

I suppose the Clash were okay, but I never bought the whole 'greatest British rock band' thing. Don't buy it with any band really.
Punk rock wise, yeah, like some, can't stand others (there were some very opportunistic records released at the time), and I suppose without it we would not have had such a movement into New Wave and the Romantics.
Not that I'm saying these are solely a product of punk, no one music scene or band created the situation for another.

The Clash is the dynamic sounds that come out form the music tools of punk rock band. I love it.
Offspring the greatest punk rock band, I like this punk rock band.
This the info for you :
After a summer touring with the Vans Warped Tour '05, The Offspring is working on new material for winter 2006. No release date have been scheduled for the moment. This new record will be their 8th studio album and the first studio album after their recent Greatest Hits.
Since 1 year, this is a silent period for The Offspring.
This new release will be the occasion for The Offspring Online to present it's new design. (I know this actual design is not very cool - some places inferior to the one of 2000-2004 - this is a transition one!) I definetly want to merit the link to this site added on official Offspring site last summer. Keep rockin'. Contact me if you want or have rare Offspring material !! ciao !

I LOVE THE CLASH!!! and i love punk rock, the sex pistols are definitely the greatest the clash comes in close but i love most punk bands today, but there are a lot of bands out there that are a bit too pop, more than punk for me and shouldnt be classified as pop/punk

They're alright. I prefer the Ramones, though...much more diversity and their music is peppier.

I don't mind them but I wouldn't go out and buy their album. I love Greenday.
