I have just started a job as a researcher at a magazine and I need to find out what films/CD's I can review for NOV/DEC and JAN/FEB. Is there a website or an industry guide on the web?

If you know a film is going to be released at some point then I suggest www.imdb.com for movies. You simply type in the name of the movie and it comes up with release dates and information on the storyline and updates for the cast. For music I would suggest the artists websites or possibly Myspace Music as many artists now have information on forthcoming singles and albums on there.

I don't know where you live, but I'm in the UK and I use the launching films website to get the latest film schedules. It's really up-to-date and the list goes up to 2008!

I'm not sure about music though - sorry!
