Remember he was able to convince at least 40% of Americans that Kerry fought for the other sides.

It will happen.

Here is the play:

1. Say that the Democrats leaked this to the press to disrupt the elections--look for stories like "why are Dems so desperate?" on Fox.
2. Assert that the page is actually over 18 years old. Say that the page reference was a smear job and this should be treated like the Gov. Jim McGreevey situation in NJ.
3. Make the discussion about gays and how the Democrats should be supporting a consensual relationship between two men--that they are hypocrites. It helps reinforce the Rove gay bashing strategy with the Republican base while distracting from the issue.

Who's transferring blame? See, that's the problem with the entire premise...I hear Reps taking responsibility- Foley, specificly- but the Dems placing blame. Your question is for the trigger-happy know-it-alls who have every scrap of evidence and make educated judgements while pointing to others telling them not to judge. If Dems want to know so bad what happened, why did they BLOCK Hastert's appointment of an independent investigation?

Kerry for the other side- shouldnt he pick a side?
After listening to Kerry first hand, I felt Bush had it right- Kerry's been in politics long enough to be on both sides of EVERY issue. While it made an interesting sound bite- it did make a point and one he never (ever) bothered to refute.

Nobody is saying that the GOP made Foley gay. But to think that they won't try to spin this as far away from them as possible is absurd and ignorant no matter what side of the line you stand on.

He was seduced into being gay and a pedophile by the liberal media that constantly threatens to destroy christianity and morality in america.

The way Rove attacks is by making his side look like the victim of some godless anti-american liberal conspiracy.

This is all bull. At the risk of sounding like some big conspiracy theorist, the Democrats knew what was going on and for the sake of the party they held onto the info until they thought it was advantageous to burn the Republicans. Regardless of what party he is from, that man needs to be in jail, not in REHAB! And if there wasn't so much party politics bull going on they would see to that. But then again, that would take integrity and we're talking about capitol hill.
