I am trying to sell some stock of symbol bydc. I bought it for 68 cents and it filed for section 8 so I thought I lost all my money. The stock is listed as otc and not nyse or nasdaq anymore. I am with etrade and I am not sure how to sell it. I get a message saying I cannot sell now when I try to sell it. Does etrade not support otc stocks trading? Please help.

First, you will probably have to send the shares to Etrade so they can place them in your account. That may be the reason that you were not allowed to sell them, because they did not appear in your account. Additionally, sometimes pink sheet stock requires broker assistance to sell. I have had that experience myself. TDAmeritrade would not allow me to place the share for trade at a sell price only a market price, but by calling a broker I sold the stock at my sell price.

Those under a dollar stocks are traded on what's called "The Pink Sheet". In order to sell it you are at someones mercy. Call Etrade and find out. Good luck and learn a lesson.

You will have to wait between 3 and 10 days to get into the system in most cases. When I signed up it took 8 days. I wished it was faster, but if you can wait a week or two to start earn life changing money than you will have what it takes to make it in this business.
