A Pity Party is actually a formal event held quite frequently by some people. Foods served at the party generally consist of alot of Whine and Cheese eaten while listening to sad, slow, songs played on a violin. The party is usually held in the company of ones self, but can be attended by a few close friends. Sometimes you just have to throw yourself a pity party as long as it doesn't last too long. It is not proper to have someone else throw you one. :/

A television character, Mr. T on the A Team --a program from the 80's, said it all the time. It was literal. He pities (or feels sorry for) the fool (stupid person) who thinks or does something he doesn't like, supposedly because of the consequences to the foolish person.

Have you ever watched Saturday Night Live? There was a skit called Debbie the Downer. When she was with a group of people she would just complain about her life and make everyone miserable around her. The people were the party but she commanded pity from the people around her for feeling sorry for her self constantly. (They were at Disney World and she kept complaining about her life and she was at Disney!!!!)
Very irritating to be around someone like that.
I hope you didn't hear that as a reflection of your character.

cuz u kno, a 2's a crowd, 3's a party, and they all feel pity 4 u... its self explanatory.

It means people that take on a victim mentality - poor me and fail to see that life is about lessons, They fail to understand it is their thoughts and actions that create their own reality. Tend to blame the world, others, etc for their plight instead of taking responsibility. All boils down to fear.
