Badwords. Ha ha ha.
Define what a bad word is. Are you offended by f*ck? Why?
Are you offended by gay? Are you offended by piss? Are you offended by damn? Are you offended by bloody?
Grammatically speaking, a "swear" word is one in which a person blasphemes against whatever diety they believe in. Therefore, "bloody" is possibly the worst word a Christian can say (as it stems from Blood of God).
However, in modern lingo, a "swear" word is one which supposedly causes offence. Well, sorry, but if you can be offended by an arrangement of letters then you simply have one skin too few. They're words, they can't hurt you.

I swear often and it has nothing to do with my upbringing or a lack of vocabulary. That generalization is poorly founded. Certainly pre-teens will use foul language simply to make an impression, but regardless of whether or not you approve of them, "bad" words are still words. When harnessed in the proper respect they can convey and create emotion. Foul words can warrant laughter, express rage or sadness, elicit reactions, call attention to strong points. I'm offended that the generalization is being used that because I thoroughly harness my vocabulary of foul language that in some way I am less intelligent than others and exercise poor language skills.

Partly because this language is used in their home life, and with their friends. Another reason would be the lack of proper english grammer classes from elementary to senior high school. Most people use slang words because they do not have a large vocabulary. They do not have a relevant word to use, so they insert a cussword and offend everyone's ears.

I think it is because either they lack the vocabulary to express themselves well or else it is beacause after a awhile badwords
become verbal crutches.

It's like an open garbage can that just keeps leaking out. I think they like the shock, rebellion from parents or previous religious backgrounds. It's just shocking, gross and shows a lack of higher education. Most people that can't control their tongue have major life issues......it's a sign.

Younger people and teens usually curse because its considered "cool" and makes them part of the in crowd. I think it eventually goes away when you get older although, some people seem to keep that old habbit. But they recognize what places and with who its appropriate to talk to in that way.

i think a lot of it has to do with that it has been accepted as the vernacular. absolutely nothing to do with limits of vocabulary - i have a decently large vocabulary yet i still swear. it is a hard habit to break because once you've been doing it for a long time you don't even realize you are doing it anymore. when i write to people i usually don't swear. with me, it lets people know that i am really angry.

I used to curse alot during my first year of highschool, because thats how we all sorta talked. Im now in my first year of college, and I hardly curse at all.
The people youre talking about might be ignorant as too other words they can use. BTW I consider it okay to curse out loud if you hurt yourself.

1st of all I would like to know who is the "Word Master" ?
And who says which words are "Bad"? And even if certain words
are less acceptable than others, why can't I choose to use them
anyway? I like the "Taboo". I like to go against the grain. I dance to
my own drum. Even if No One likes my drum roll.
