I do this every year, and I'm not used to it by now. Every year that sound relaxes me or whatever, and I end up sick.

Yes!!! Both my husband and I cannot sleep without our "wind tunnel fan" on. During the Summer its on Med-High and Low in fall. It does make it colder in here.. and makes you kinda sick sometimes.. but the sound is oh so soothing. So you arent alone on that one!

I enjoy turning the fan off, but what I can't adjust to is having the windows closed down and the house without the outdoor air coming in...

so my fan remains on in October as well. Is also a good way to make Summer last a while longer, isn't it...

Perhaps you ought to record the fan going, and play it to put you to sleep. (However, running the fan is not what makes you sick. Germs make you sick.) I used to drive a semi and could not go to sleep without the truck and refer running, so I understand what you are saying. Another solution might be to plug the fan into a timer so that it goes off after it puts you to sleep. You can find the timers rather inexpensively during Christmas time, as they are used to turn outside lights on and off.

Yes, the air conditioner sound is what I getused to.
Get a sound machine and set it for whichever sound you like best- they have 8 different sounds, a volume control, a timer or an all night feature. Runs on batteries or electric.
I got mine at Wal-Mart for around $12. Works great

I used to have a depressing time falling asleep too. Do you do something in mattress as nicely sleep? in case you do, then you quite've taught your physique and thoughts the laying in mattress isn't inevitably for dozing. So in case you do, you may resign examining, doing homework, observing television or something in mattress for a jointly as. while you're in mattress extra effective than quarter-hour without falling asleep, get away from mattress do something else then pass back to mattress and attempt back. additionally be sure you're actually not too heat. you will certainly sleep slightly extra soundly while you're cool quite than heat.

Yes even our children cannot sleep without the hum of a fan. We just keep them on lower settings.
