Outside, its oval shaped, with a thick yellow skin, with lots of small pores. When you feel it, it's a little heavy for it's size, but not extremely heavy. It's got a dent on one end (where it used to attach to a tree) and a bump on the other side, as it was a budding water drop. It's a plant, so the skin is smooth, gives slightly when pressed, and is a bit cool to the touch. The smell is light and fresh, with some acid, some bitterness, and sometimes a tiny bit of sweetness.

It's yellow citrus fruit that has yellow flesh like an orange most are tart or sour, but there is a variety of lemons that is sweet it has pink flesh.

yellow, somewhat oval, bitter, the opposite of sweet I guess, it has a strong lively perhaps difficult to tolerate taste

Tell them that it is a yellow lime. Oh wait, they probably
don't know about limes either. Just tell them it is somewhat bitter...somewhat sour.
