I remember reading that shortly after the big bang (you know, something like a minute after it) the universe was many light years across. This tells me that the universe expanded faster than the speed of light... But I thought nothing can travel faster than c... What exactly am I missing here?

EDIT: Uh, this is my first time on this site, how can I reply to the answers given? To parvaz: I thought whole point of special relativity was that light is always c REGARDLESS of source and reference frame?!?!
