Depending on the facility they will possibly gown you anyway so it doesn't matter in most cases. It is best to wear some cotton sweat suit with cotton underwear and possibly a sports bra (no underwire) if you need it. If they see you like this they may not make you put on the gown. Remove jewelry before you go also. No bobby pins in the hair and it is best not to have makeup on as some of the chemicals in it (eye shawdow) actually have small amouts of metal and distort the images. Relax, don't move and you will get the best images to help diagnose you.

Staff will ask you to remove anything potentially magnetic, I'm an anaesthetic nurse and I've worked in MRI scanners before. I have a piercing on the top of my ear and its not been ripped out yet! As you have plenty of time I would call the department and ask them - they probably deal with these enquiries all the time. In addition you could always go back to the piercing salon and ask them to change them for plastic or non-magnetic jewellery for a small price. Best of luck for march!

An MRI is a huge magnetic machine. You can wear your regular clothes. But it can not include any metal at all. No zippers, buttons, snaps, metal bra hooks. Therefore I would suggest sweat pants, undies, a shirt, socks and tennis shoes. Remember not to wear any jewlery. Also remember no hair clips with metal. Good luck with your test.

Don't worry about attire. Just wear what you feel comfortable in, as you will be given a gown to wear. You will be asked to remove your jewelery.
