i like someone means most of the thoughts are matched with him/her. he/she does whatever you think ,he/she is in the same way as you have imagined sometime.if that person will deviate from your thoughts you will definetely start disliking him.
love is very powerfull thing do not compare it with liking please.
love is nothing but "expectationless ,selfless and forgiveness" behaviour.
but this definition is ideal. nobody fullfills it. so people make the definition of love according to their own requirement. and do work in the name of love and justify that they are in love.

There's I huge difference.. I like many things but I sure don't love things. I loved my cats
I didn't merely like them! Like implies nice but
can do without. Love implies nice and prefer to have in live, is better with than without! If you love someone or some pet you'll miss em when their gone. If you merely like something.. you won't care much if it gets lost or missplaced or is gone. I like T.V. I like watching Passions but if I miss a program that doesn't matter cause I don't love the T.V.
I don't Love to watch Passions! Get the drift?
It's so obvious! I think one would have to be retarded to not understand the difference between I like you and I love you! There's a huge difference! Be wary of any one that says they like you and want to be your mate.. they are just using You! If they say they love you make sure they can verify that!

Love is, in realty, the feelings that you have for a person or a cause, that would allow you to make great sacrifices for them, perhaps even that of your own life. Love means to appreciate without judgement and for no superficial gain. Love is to forgive someone for all of their past mishaps, and to wish only the best for them, even if this results in your own personal discomfort. Love is usually limited to family members and to lifelong friends, and even sometimes to pets.
However, young lovers often misuse this word, when in reality all they feel for each other is lust.

There's a great difference between i like you and i love you.if you like someone it doesnt mean that you also love him.but if you love someone it means that u also like him.i like you is used in case of friends and i love is said to the one with whom u r going to live ur life with..
u say i love you when u r dating someone and not i like you...GOT IT.so plz understand the difference between these two phrases before using them..ok.

the difference in these two is very big
i like u can be in the sence of a good friend or a good mate.
but i love you means that u want to send ur life with him or u r attracted to that person

love is more intense than like for me. if i love someone, I want the best for him even if it means that i pull the shorter stick. just because i like someone doesn't mean that i am going to be willing to give up an opportunity to make him happy.
