This is a cool question...I use several divinatory tools such as Tarot cards, Runes, the I-Ching, but one of my favorites is one that I came up with myself that anyone can put together...
I call this my "Oracle of the Jones"
If you're familiar with "Jones Soda", then you know that under each bottle cap is a different quote or phrase. My personal has about 50 different caps in it. I use it when I need a really unique outlook on any situation....I formulate the question in my mind in the simplest terms possible, then reach into the bag I keep the caps in and draw one out...Sometimes the connection between the phrase and my question isn't readily apparent, but in the end it always makes sense!!!!
Give it a shot! It's really cool!!

I am rather old school. I read candles. The principle is the flame will always lean to the direction your suppose to be going. You offer it a few situations and whichever way it points is the correct answer. If I may though divination is a form of self trickery in my opinion. Once you think about it if you offer a random tool to pick among several paths that you chose it is rather possible every path could and likely was a correct choice. Divination in my opinion is merely a tool to reaffirm the principle you intended to go with in the first place. It is a tool to psych yourself out in acting rather then standing still at a new oppurtunity. I use it becuase dispite knowing its a tad bit scetchy does not matter. It still works in getting me to choose, some people need that silly little boost of confidence.

There are way too many heard-ofs for me to list.
Publically I use:
Tea Leaves
Crystal Ball Scrying
Palmistry
Seer Stones
Runes
Faery Cards
Tarot
Cartomancy
Casting Lots
Dream Analysis
Astrology
Numerology
Name Analysis
and a bit of Pendulum work.
Privately I additionally often use:
other forms of Scrying (Flame, Cloud, etc.)
Basic Geomancy
Animal Signs
Litromancy/Biblomancy
Keys
Rings
Eggs
A few others I'm studying and/or use occasionally
I-Ching
Ogham
Dream Cards
Petal Divinations
Body-Language Reading - especially sleep positions
Face Reading (Chinese basis mostly)
I think that's a good list... hopefully it helps you in your general explorations!
Blessings,
Lady Ament

it varies.
i am quite a good tarot reader, and i do marseilles and oracles. i will buy the rider waite at the right time.
candles, cristals( either blue or white), i heal with the aid of my birthstone(amethyst), and am working on my psychic powers and medium. i am still a bit afraid of the last two but i have to follow my path.
also i burn herbs and do a special ritual once every few months.
the clouds hide signs and can talk to you.
tree branches and leaves, (the sounds).
i also drink special brew teas made by druids, that help open up.
learning from ppl will always be better than a book. all the best.

I have heard of many many, too many to write all in this answer. I prefer to use tarot cards but I have also used dreams. Use this website. It gives a list of the some of the ways divination can be done...you will laugh when you read some. http://www.paralumun.com/divination.htm
When in doubt I consult my mambo who then consult the lwa or her divination which is mediumship and cards!

I am going to get a lot of thumps down on this but so be it.
When I first started out I started trying to learn a lot of them that are familiar to people in North America. Ended up being taught some of the shamanic ways of two Native American Tribes. As I grew in experience and knowledge, I came to understand that these are only tools, due to us not being able to fully comprehend our full mental potential. Now when I feel I need a tool again I either grab a quartz crystal ( for amplification) or play one of my Native American Flutes.
I am now more easily able to do distant healing, as well as help others that are not near me.

I use archangel oracle cards
have a crystal ball
candle magik
crystals and stones
magic wands
intuitive messages (knowings)
dreams of course
animals can also help us to "realize" the journey....by giving us signs and showing us symbolism (totems and spirit guides/helpers)
also energy healing & intuitive diagnosis
I listen for whatever might be trying to give me information (houses for instance, hold energy from the previous tenants, etc..)
the idea is to always be willing to listen to your inner guides (3rd eye intuitive self)

Primarily Tarot and black mirror scrying; I also occasionally use runes, and am learning I Ching. I also have a couple of "old school" techniques; incense smoke and the classic, a drop of ink in a bowl of water.
