As a Democrat the only point i try to make is that. your party aligns its self with staunch values. moral values are what alot of you vote for. time and time again your party shows you how foolish you are because apparently, all of them lack any moral value. Foley is just a great example. he says when he was a teen he was abused by a clergymen. now as a teen you know right from wrong. you are also big enough to defend your self at least enough to get away. so that has to be a lie. so we see he uses a lie to defend his immoral actions. then he uses alcohol as an excuse. if you drive drunk and you hit some one, can you blame alcohol and get off because you were juiced? not in the real world where average Joe's like us reside. you can say all you want about the democratic party and what they have done in the past but your missing my point. the Dem's don't usually try to play the moral ethics card. and your political party always does and proves them selves morally inept every time.

I have a 5 year old boy, my son. I have no problem with government teaching him age appropriate information, like how to prevent being touched by someone in a wrong place. I support Obama on that legislation, I know it was 5 years ago, and hope the bill in a good form passed. I think neocons are just ridiculous for attacking Obama for it. That's that 10% where you and I agree, and I think thats that 10% that matters a lot.

The Democrats prayed for an October surprise, and like manna from heaven, a hypocritical, sexually disturbed Florida Republican dropped into their laps. They looked at the cyber-stalking ephebophile and said, "Behold, this is good."
Overnight, Nancy Pelosi has emerged as the nation's soccer grandmom, leading the mob alleging a GOP cover-up of a supposed sex predator and pedophile. (Foley may or may not be a predator, but pedophiles don't dig post-pubescent teens; ephebophiles do.)
the fact that liberals hardly objected to Democratic Rep. Gerry Studds' continued service in the House for 13 years after he admitted to having had actual sex with a teen page - as opposed to the less harmful cyber variety - and after an investigation revealed his advances were not always invited does cast a harsh light on those screeching about Foley being a sexual predator.
But it is fair to say liberals aren't thinking things through. Democratic strategist Bob Beckel suggested this week that the mere fact Foley is gay should have "raised questions" about his friendships with pages. If Foley were a Democrat and GOP spinners suggested gays are automatically suspect as predators, the now-silent Human Rights Campaign and other gay rights groups would go ballistic.
What about the political left, which has gained much political mileage by posing as defenders of civil liberty against the authoritarian political right? Well, it turns out that the left has taken off its mask and now openly argues for the police power of the state to quash freedom of conscience and association. Women's rights advocates want the government to crush men's rights, the atheist lobby wants to wreck the rights of believers, and the gay lobby wants to enslave the straight world.
Either the activists are politically tone-deaf and/or so isolated they don't see that they're harming their own cause, or b) they WANT the cause to fail to keep gays an isolated "oppressed" group for political reasons.

I think Foley got caught up in that Dateline "To catch a predator" show. They are giving the Republicans time to come up with something to say before they break the news to the public.
But it sure is funny how he is this formly clergy abused alcoholic needs our support, all of a sudden.

They've made him into the victim. He was abused and an alcoholic. In a discreet amount of time he will be born again, and then perhaps later he will be allowed to run again. They have this down pat. Notice the page is absent in this story.

The republicans aren't playing the homophobia card nimrod. Foley is. As well as the "I was abused by a priest" card and "I'm an alcoholic" card. The republicans are not defending him, they are only questioning where the leak came from and how long did they know. Try and get your head away from CNN so you can learn some real news, DOG!
