I currently have a play station 2 slim. I would love to buy the new Play station 3 next month, but I am on a tight budget. Honestly, is it worth it and how can I convince my fiancé that it is worth it? Please help.

Well definately NOT Xbox 360 as that is quite obviously the worst out of the three, extortionists is what they are, selling an incomplete system from the beginning, just so they can make more money buy selling various upgrades like the HD DVD drive already? SCREW THEM!

Wii definately is the most affordable, honest and innovative of the three but I can imagine a lot of problems similar to what the DS had with every game trying the wierdest freaking ways to make your character walk, jump, save, and even carry out a conversation.

PS3 Has some really reliable titles coming out this or next year (MGS4, Resistance: Fall Of Man, Tony Hawks Project 8 {i don't care what you say I LIKE IT}, Sonic The Hedgehog, Assasins Creed, and that unnamed Naughty Dog Game looks pretty cool.) And the PS3 online looks great, I'd imagine plenty of game servers going up for free (where as the XBOX 360 can only do MMO's for free). The PS3 also has more functionality as a music, movies, and Blu-Ray player (again, leave your comments). If you have a PSP they have lots of opportunities to create cool little connecting things between the two (and even more opportunities to not take the opportuninities much like they did with the PSP in the first place)

Personally I'm getting the high end 60GB PS3 (the other PS3's a waste) But if you are really hard up for cash I recommend the Wii I might end up getting one of thems as well. And Microsoft is a greedy deformed, ugly, power hungry monster that should be put to sleep.

Go with the Nintendo Wii. With the Wii, you'll be able to play online. However, it's wireless and it's free. No need to worry about having a cable modem, DSL modem, dial up. It's all satellites.

Also, you'll be able to download games onto the Wii for the original Nintendo, the Super Nintendo, the N64, and the Gamecube, as well as games from the Sega Genisis and the Turbo Grafix 16.

Price is going to be a huge advantage as well. While PS3 and Xboxes are starting well over the $400 range, the Wii will start at $250.

One of the best features will be the control that can be used as a motion sensitive control of as a regular control. If you're not a big gamer, then use the regular control feature.

If you really get into your games, use the motion sensitive control. For example, if you are playing a basballe game, you will actually swing the controller like a bat. You decide how much strength to use. You can decide to bunt it or slam it out of the park. If you are playing a first person shooter game, you can duck and dodge the bullets that are shot at you.

All in all, I think that the Wii will be the best investment.

If you can burn 600 bucks, then PS3. It's not worth it otherwise.

I personally prefer Nintendo, so the Wii is naturally a good choice. Interesting new controller system, good games, and A helluva lot cheaper than anything Sony or Microsoft can ever charge, with a service that's just as good (if not better) than the competition.

I saw a few of the games for the Ps3 and they were amazing. But it is very expensive. Sony apperently had problems with the ps3 when they were showing it last week. It kept freezing and had to be restarted. Its still supposed to be released in the States Nov. 17th
Good luck on your decision!! Happy gaming

Nintendo Wii of course. People who don't like nintendo aren't real gamers.

really... $600 bucks and you want to get married? You won't have a fiance if you do that... find another hobby that REAL men do.
