My Dr. schedules me a physical once a year, and that is what I have been doing for well let's just say alot of years. If you have any medical problems he will do follow up's and see you more often throughout the year, but a physical exam is done only once yearly.

Once a year, if you are the average person....be sure certain preventative tests are included!!!!! I purchased the book "Healthcare for Less" by Michelle Katz because I needed to choose a better insurance that was less costly...not only did the book help out with that, but I have also been able to cut down my expenses with my doctor by negotiating...who would have known and I am in the medical field!!!! I also noticed a great chart of "tests" everyone should have, which is also included in the book that would help you out, and yes, they are all updated to today's standards unlike the other charts I have seen! I would recommend getting the book on www.amazon.com because it is less expensive than getting is at Barnes and Nobe for $15.
