if you have 2 radical equations, 28 rad.5 +2 rad.5, can you add and make 30 rad.5? help plz!

YES. This is simply an application of the distributive law: ac+bc=(a+b)c. In this case, a=28, b=2, c=√5. Thus, 28√5 + 2√5 =30√5.

rad 5 is the square root of 5 or 2.236 so

28 x (rad 5) 2.236 = 62.609

2 x (rad 5) 2.236 = 4.4721

30 rad 5 = 67.082 = 62.809 + 4.471 **check!
