For the same reason that kids in a family can't share their toys or the family tv, only more so. The first ones were taught that all this is Yours, and here is exactly how it works and Everyone does it this way so you should too.
Then another comes along and they have been told the same thing, but now they are expected to share an understand that while yes, we said Everyone does it this way, we mean that every one of US does it this way and others do it another way. Some how this does not compute with some of us, and we stubbornly persist in believing that all this is OURS and everyone else should do things just like we do.
Fortunately those folks are lessening in numbers and we as a race are on our way to a global tolerance. In fact, it is looking more and more like the intolerant are so dwindling in numbers that they must stage this last big push to try to gain control - for if they are not successful now, they never will be.
Peace!

I don't think we belong here. We are so far removed from the rest of the species that do manage to co-exist with nature that I think we were planted here as a virus. Regarding getting along..well in order to be in charge of a country, you have to have a very aggessive personality which leads to stubborness and a huge ego. Pretty hard for those guys to get along.

Its biological, its tribes struggling for territory, its exactly a carry over from roving bands of savages thousands of years ago fighting over who got what hunting grounds, from the jungles of Africa to the forests of Europe, its in our genes to fight and kill each other, people seen as different from ourselves--threats. Its been going on for, what, 500,000 years or more? Its a strong trait, not just among us, but among all mammals. We've got to learn to control it tho, because obviously with H Bombs the consequences are a lot more deadly and permanent than with rocks and sticks. Thats one reason why not stimulating the killing urge, the killer instinct, with war, or even with the death penalty, would be a very good idea.

i guess it boils down to a thing class status. It seems people value their pride and more than anything else. Then comes money and other stuff..
If in this world, money is nothing and all trade for free....dun u think it will be rather peaceful?
No turmoil on how rich a country is and what not?
But personally its feelings and upbringing that bring about differences.

It is the nature of the beast to be competetive. All humans want to be top dog at something. It seems the easist way to achieve supremecy over a rival is through conflict. Society conditions us to nurture our inner instinct to succeed.

It is our nature to fight. Some societies have managed to reduce fighting, but they never get rid of it. And on a global level, even if one nation stops fighting, its neighbors will not.
I believe we need to continue evolving. At the present stage, we are like chimpanzees with guns. (Plus a little math, and a tad of literature.)

The world is our because there's no one to take it from us. There are a lot of different people who think they are "us". They are all trying to take it from each other.
Read, listen, don't be a sheep.

Animals fight and kill each other, even of the same species. Your question is silly.
