Foley denied being gay until after his resignation. In other words he lied so he could get elected in a predominately republican district.

Come on good human beings, ok the undesirable fellow, Mark Foley, is kaputt. And for particular the failings he has performed are reprehensible and that i guess many belongings you, i and all individuals have performed we remorseful about. Because in reality, some gays vote republican and some democratic, depending on their socioeconomic standing in society. The Log Cabin Republicans are just one example of a Gay Republican group.

Guess he's a a part of the other 2%. I think there is a difference, though, between gay and what he did. Some adult males don't lead the gay lifestyle, but for some reason prey on young boys. He's obviously ill or something. Not excusing his behaviour, though, nor am I condoning the Repug cover-up. That may be the worst part of all this.

being a homosexual is different than being a pedophile. Most homosexuals are responsible productive people and tend to side with the deomocratic opinions on gay rights...Mark Foley represents the republicans views on pedophilia

He was ashamed of his sexuality, oppressed by the conservative surroundings in which he grew up. He never would have made it as far as he did if he had been honest about his sexuality.
I think things like this need to happen, in order for people to realize being gay isn't a choice. These incidents will help break down the barriers between us politically, although it will likely take at least a generation.

homosex is only one of many political questions-- he was smart enough to know republicans are better leaders with more adult ideals.. But he still is a predator and he is caught,; he is out. hopefully , he will go to jail for his predatory indescretions.
