A wedding celebrates the marriage between two individuals. The honeymoon is a culmination of the marriage. Without a wedding, how can you culminate a marriage? A legal marriage has to be performed by a person who is licensed to perform a marriage; therefore, a wedding. So, how can you "skip" a wedding and go "straight" to the honeymoon?

Yes, if you aren't up for the wedding fuss, don't have one. Have a small private ceremony and go on the honeymoon. You aren't asking if you can just go on the honeymoon and not get married at all are you? If so, it wouldnt be called a honeymoon. :P

Well, if you are talking about wedding dinners then is up to u both . U both could just register yr marriage and having a meal with both party parents, family members & just few goods friends. Then, the trip will be yr honeymoon.

If you went to a lot of expense to had a formal wedding by all means NO! It will be like an insult to all and you will regret not having been there if you're just having a civil marriage still stay lomg enough to toast to you're new status in life.If it is just you two getting married in a private ceremony, Then as you're heading for the door say I Do and scram get the fun started..Congrats.

If you have already had sex earlier then you can skip it.. but you should try to understand why honeymoon is followed by marriage.. this is a social acceptance for a couple...

if you are talking about a civil ceremony in front of a judge and then spending all the money on the honeymoon then go for it.
