Okay. I happen to like House of Joy. It's on Bandera Rd. just passed Guilbeau Rd. The have great food for a great price. Try the Shrimp Egg Foo Young and/or Mongolian Beef. They have dinner combination platters which include two choice entrees with fried rice and an egg roll and or crab meat rangoon. Very good quality, nice portions, and not too much MSG. I too., also frequent Asia Kitchen, but I go there for EXCLUSIVELY Thai food; therfore, I fore-go ordering Chinese food and opt to try their Thai specialtys. They are my top pick for THAI food. My cousin, Theresa and friend, Miranda work there, and they are always happy to suggest the most delicious Thai entrees they have to offer. House of Joy, the Chinese restaurant, does not offer buffets but they do offer great lunch specials. You have to go at least once or place a to-go order by phone. My husband and I agree that no other Chinese restaurant does their dishes better. Here's the phone number for House of Joy. 210-521-4551

I like Asia Kitchen near the corner of Marbach and 410. I don't have a regular dish I order, but tend to try various things on the menu. They have more than just Chinese, too. The lunch specials are very affordable as well.
Since you posted this in San Antonio, I do not know why the others have recommended restaurants in London and California.

I like Asia Kitchen on Marbach & 410 or The Happy Guy Chinese Rest. on Culebra Rd, outside 410. From Asia Kitchen I like just about anything, but from Happy Guy I like the Kung Pao Chicken, spicy and they give you a big portion.

There's two kinds of chinese. Real Chinese like Hong Kong Flower Lounge in Milbrae near Oakland has the best dim sum ever. The twice fried crispy pork is incredible.
There's also Chinese American like Wong's Garden in Milwaukie where the Sweet and Sour Pork lunch special is more than you should reasonably eat in one sitting.

Mine is in a suburb of London (UK) where I live and my American friend says it is far superior to the Chinese restaurants in her home town in Florida.
You pay one price and can order anything from the menu! Really unusual dishes too, not your typical "chow mein/spare ribs/spring rolls" menu!
Have no favourite because we order loads of dishes and share but I'm very partial to chili beef strips, singapore noodles and duck rolled in pancakes!
