You could use the funnies from the Sundays paper. And use color ribbons from every color in the funny page you are using. Kids and adults will like the comics. also we use A brown bag and paint or color our own pictures on it. Gold and silver for Christmas or Red and Green. For A Birthday present I like black tissue paper with an all different color ribbon wrapped around it and then tied into a bow. You can use any cloth material that you may have laying around the house. ( old curtains, sheets, pillow cases) use your imagination, there are all kinds of stuff around your house that you could use. For smaller gifts, you could find A picture you like on your computer. And print it out on paper and use that. For Grandparent it is cool to take A picture of your kids that you may have saved to your computer, print it out and use them for your wrapping paper. What Grandma or Grandpa
Wouldn't like A gift wrapped with there favorite Grandchild's face on it. Try all kinds of way's ,
what ever the occasion, there is all way's something. Hope this gave you some ideas.
Good luck...

Newsprint and aluminum foil are cheesier than the cheetah. Depending where you are located, try a 99 cent store. Last year I got large gift bags, 3 for $.99! Went to Costco and got like 500 sheets of wrapping tissue for a few bucks to wrap around the gift boxes of booze (great deals on those right before x-mas) and it was quick, easy and very inexpensive.

I like to use plain brown craft paper without decorating it but I use brown "velvet" ribbon and make a nice bow ( paper velvet ribbon can be found in craft stores very cheap around the holidays )then gather twigs, acorns, pine cones, gumballs from trees, and nuts from the yard or grocery store....spray paint them all gold and trim some with a touch of gold glitter. Glue an arrangement of your findings to a cardboard base ( wreath shaped) and secure to the velvet bow. Use decorated shipping tags as gift tags and "age" the edges with brown stamping ink or chalk.

We like to get a cheap roll of brown paper (used for wrapping packages for mailing) and make designs on it with markers. Every gift has its' own unique wrapping.
A large brown bag or small brown lunch bags decorated are fun too.
Another thing I like to do is to buy Christmas wrapping after Christmas (obviously this can only help for the next year!). Last year I got rolls from Target for 25 cents each! I like to get wrapping paper that can be used all year round like solids, plaids, stripes or polka dots.

I don't think anyone has suggested plain old white butcher's paper. You should get rubber stamps, for the appropriate ocassion, and stamp away. Your children could draw pictures on it with crayons. They could also put paint on the hands an print them on the paper (great for grandparents gifts) You could use kitchen items as stamps, such as a potato masher, for wrapping up a kitchen shower gift etc. Just a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing.

One thought may be to get him some gag presents through fact the 1st 29, like socks, new shoelaces, chapstick, etc... yet another may be to get themed presents based on the great present, yet once you needed us to point particular suggestions for which you will possibly could let us know what the great present is(that's probably no longer a sturdy thought if he would verify this internet site or stuff like that =P ).

You can wrap the most deluxe packages under the tree if you check out the dollar table in Wal-Marts fabric dept. Most fabric stores have similar tables. 1 yard is usually 36"x46".You can cut strips for co-ordinating ribbon.

If you have any children of your own, or look after someone elses kids, you could buy a roll of lining wallpaper, (it's very cheap) and get the children to draw/paint/stick etc...their own Christmas designs on it. This can then be cut to any size you need.
It's a lovely way to personalise a gift.xxx

Yes - brown paper bags, or buy a roll of brown paper. Cut sponges in the shapes of stars, and using gold and silver paint, "stamp" gold and silver stars on the brown paper - it looks awesome! Use gold curling ribbon.
