I have heard of red pepper killing ants when they eat it, this could possibly work on spiders as well. And at least you will know it is all natural and can't really hurt any pets or children.
Boric acid will also work but I am not sure how readily available that is. You may want to check around and see the ingriedients on those bug sprays like Raid etc.

I'd leave any spider alone in my house...unless it got in my way.
But if you want to kill the things then a good squish or flush will do. They are solitary, there is no queen(like ants or bees)
Plug any gaps between the baseboard and the floor to stop any new intrusions

Actually spiders are more beneficial than mosquitoes, cockroahes and flies.
Spiders kill harmful insects like that.
But if you insist on another answer which is acceptable to you...clean your entire house from top to bottom. That prevents all forms of rodent, reptiles, insects and arachnids (i.e. spiders) from entering your house.
Peace.

Just step on them. I have heard there are sonic devices yet they don't seem to work.
My wife says my true purpose in life is to kill spiders for her so you may want to consider getting a bf if you don't already have one.

first check your house or apt on the outside for cracks etc for instead of killing them prevent from coming in-if you have more than one here and there spray vinegar if safe to do so-not on surfaces that have polish but if just one here and there they will kill other bugs that come into the house.
