If all the elements of a loving, healthy relationship are there, and you love the person very much, but you don't feel as though you're "in love," is it worth giving everything up to find it? Am I looking for a feeling of infatuation or lust that doesn't mean much anyway, or am I supposed to feel head over heels?

a healthy relationship means that the other person unserstands you , respects you, never makes you cry nor puts you down. if any of these things happen it is called an unhealthy relationship, something that i am sort of stuck in right now. look, when you are in love you just know if and if you question your so called "love" then it is not real love as i had to learn from some friends of mine but rather lust. you have to take a risk and a chance and see if itis lust or love in the long run otherwise you will never know.i think that you are looking for the feeling where the guy should take your breath away and everything falls into place-called love, ideal love more likely. lust and like prepare you for love: you like and you lust and then you can distinguish the feeling of love and lust.

I suppose some dont feel lusting for their mate is important. I think all the elements should be there at some point or another. Loving someone thats particularly kind and affectionate can lead one to be lustful. A good relationship should be continuous in growth and all phases of loving another person dont happen all at once. How I dream!! lol

Each person is different. Try going without talking or seeing this person for a few days. See how you feel then.
