Well, most of the world's population is right handed... So they wear their watches on their left wrist coz the right hand is usually always used to do lots of things everyday. And if your left handed then same rule... But there are some people who are right handed and wear their watches on their right wrists and vice versa. Maybe they just feel like it and doesn't find it bothering when they do stuff.

They don't. I've seen quite a few wearing a watch on the right wrist. I think it has to do with left- or right-handedness. Most people are right-handed and wear a watch on the left wrist.

There isn't a real truth to this other than the fact that almost all righties will wear a watch on the left and vice versa. There's no real scientific reason or any thing but i would suspect that it comes down to what feels right. If you wore a watch on your dominant hand you would realize that at the end of the day your forearm would be tired. This would be due to the constant use of that arm with the extra weight at the end would wear out the muscles.

An act of balancing.
Lefties wear the watch in the right wrist and righties wear it in the left wrist.

Usually a right-handed person wears it on their left wrist and a left-handed person on their right wrist so it doesn't get in the way.

I was told when I was about 12 that I should wear mine on my left hand as I am right-handed, and have done so ever since. I have however noticed that left-handers often wear them on their left hands too, and that some people, both left and right-handers, wear them on their right. I have heard many theories - some say it is a gender issue, but even they are divided, with half saying women right men left and the other half vice-versa. I don't know how such theories originated - I would love to know.

Yrs ago before battery operated watches, they needed to be wound up to keep going, the left wrist was better so the right hand could wind it up,

there are many people who wear the watch on their right wrist also especially left-handed people but i wear mine on my left hand because it is easier for me to look at the watch on my left hand.
