First, you need to make sure that your pores aren't clogged with oils and dead skin cells. Use one of those blackhead strips from the supermarket. Those work quite well especially after steaming your face over a pot of boiling water for a few minutes. Then use witch hazel or tea tree oil. These astringents are natural and do a great job of closing up your pores. You can also hold ice over any larger pores for a minute to make sure they shrink down. Be sure you are drinking enough water each day. It helps saturate and plump your skin so that your pores won't be so noticeable. :)

It sounds like you have a genetically oily skin, which is characterised by larger follicle openings and excess sebum (oil). There are no known products which close the follicles, your skin has to excrete oils, sweat etc.. through an opening. You can however control the amount of oils and sebum being produced if you folllow a simple homecare routine. Clean your skin twice in the morning and twice in the evening, with an acid balanced cleaning agent. Avoid harsh alkaline soaps as they leave the skin open to bacterial invasion and dehydration. You may want to try products containing bentonite, camphor, kaolin and menthol in order to refine oil production. A moisturiser is a necessary step to any skin care regime, and for you an oil free hydrating product would work wonders. Professional recommendation is advised, to determine your sklin care needs.

The Clinique pore minimising range is excellent. Especially the serum. Its not that cheap but you only need a little bit and it lasts for ages.
