My husband could use so new work shoes. I would rather give than get anyway. Does anyone think i should care for him first.?

I think it would be a nice touch to give him the thing he needs the most, which sounds like new work shoes. It would show him that you care.
While it may be more romantic to give him something else, the fact that you were concerned enough to give him what makes him happy shows he is very important to you!

I think If he needs new work shoes get him the shoes maybe you can find a pair not so costly and have enough to get something for you're self also and this way the birthdate is special for both. Happy, Happy, Day to you both.
