oh, come on master of truth!!! They're christmas trees!!!!! that's like calling the crucifex by a different name because people want to hang it in their home. Or calling a menorrah (spelling) by a different name to suit another holiday. A christmas tree is a christmas tree. that's that. Also you say piss and moan about the other things. If I have kids, I don't want them growing up believing it's ok to be gay because it's against the Bible and that will destroy any morals that are left to our society!

kingoftheintertron, slavery and selling your kid was in the old testament, not the new testament. Also, I didn't say I was against disability. I said WELFARE!!!!!! Such as some chick spreading her legs to have 60 so she can collect more welfare checks. I know for a FACT this happens!!!!! They also drive ESCALADES!

I don't believe how ignorant you are!!!! First of all, not all democrats support gay marriage! We just believe that people should marry who they want. Why should the government control who people marry? Dick Cheney can't even get his daughter to stop being gay! LMFAO!!! (They control everything as it is!) Also, there is no mix between government and religion. That's why children can't even pray in public schools. Not everybody believes in the same God. Illegal immigration started from your precious ***** president George Bush. Don't you know he had illegal immigrants come over here and stay here legally if they find a job! His business buddies make more money that way b/c they don't have to pay the legal minimum wage! The only reason he started to send them back was because of people like you, got mad so to make you happy again he sent half of them back. Abortion? Well, you tell me if you got raped by a homeless bum (probably with a STD) would you keep the baby because you believe every living thing deserves a life? Such a ****** hypocrite you are, and a liar if you say you would!!!!! Why are you so worried about stupid trees call them whatever you want. If you had a half a brain you would realize Bush just passed a new law that states you can't sue for malpractice. So remember how much you love him when a doctor messes your body up and you can't even get compensation. ****** moron!!!

The time around the end of December contains many holidays of many faiths. Solstice, Chaunaka, Xmas, Easther Orthodox Xmas, Kwanzza, Ramadan some years, along with other holidays observed by other faiths. Calling the trees holiday trees is quite accurate because they can be used to decorate for MANY different holidays during that time of the year.
The world does not revolve around Xmas... which btw is based on many pagan traditions.
As for the rest of your question.... piss and moan... piss and moan. What one person calles defiling another person with more of an open minded view would call inclusion and accepting and embrasing diversity.

Why don't you let your kids be the people they want to be while still being good citizens and having a nice set of moral values instead of forcing your beliefs on them. For all you *know*, maybe your beliefs are actually wrong. Maybe if gay people were allowed to get married they would be happier. Isn't happiness a good thing? I think so! I wouldn't want anyone I know to be sad because they couldn't spend the rest of their life with someone they love just like you would love your husband - only because they were born with the same kind of genitals...how mean is that? You do what you want as long as you don't force your crap on me and I'll do the same, thanks. That's what living in harmony is about...doing what you want to do whilst not bugging others. Why do you care if someone else wants to bang someone of the same gender anyway? It doesn't have ANY effect on you or what you do or believe in.

The Founding Fathers left God out from the start. God was never a part of the formation of the government of the United States.
There is no mention of God, Jesus, or Christianity in the Constitution, which is THE document establishing our government and the basis for our society,
In 1797, the US Congress by unanimous vote and without a single objection passed the following:
“As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion”
http://www.yale.edu/lawweb/avalon/diplomacy/barbary/bar1796t.htm
JOHN ADAMS: 'This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it!'"
•“How has it happened that millions of myths, fables, legends and tales have been blended with Jewish and Christian fables and myths and have made them the most bloody religion that has ever existed? Filled with the sordid and detestable purposes of superstition and fraud?” (Letters to F.A. Van Der Kamp 1809-1816)
THOMAS JEFFERSON: The day will come," he predicted (wrongly, so far), "when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin, will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter." The Revelation of St. John he dismissed as "the ravings of a maniac."
•“I have recently been examining all the known superstitions of the world, and do not find in our particular superstition [Christianity] one redeeming feature. They are all alike, founded upon fables and mythologies.”
JAMES MADISON: Christianity neither is, nor ever was apart of the common law. Feb. 10, 1814
The establishment of the chaplainship to Cong[res]s is a palpable violation of equal rights, as well as of Constitutional principles: The tenets of the chaplains elected [by the majority] shut the door of worship agst the members whose creeds & consciences forbid a participation in that of the majority.”
BENJAMIN FRANKLIN: Some volumes against Deism fell into my hands. They were said to be the substance of sermons preached at Boyle’s Lecture. It happened that they produced on me an effect precisely the reverse of what was intended by the writers; for the arguments of the Deists, which were cited in order to be refuted, appealed to me much more forcibly than the refutation itself. In a word, I soon became a thorough Deist.”
•JOHN TYLER “The United States have adventured upon a great and noble experiment, which is believed to have been hazarded in the absence of all previous precedent -- that of total separation of Church and State.
•ABRAHMAN LINCOLN: “My earlier views of the unsoundness of the Christian scheme of salvationand the human origin of the scriptures, have become clearer and stronger with advancing years and I see no reason for thinking I shall ever change them.” (to Judge JS. Wakefield, after Willie Lincoln's death)
MARY TODD LINCOLN: "Mr. Lincoln was not a Christian.”
ULYSSES S GRANT: "Leave the matter of religion to the family altar, the church and the private school supported entirely by private contributions. Keep the church and state forever separate.” (Address to the Army of the Tennessee, Des Moines, Iowa, September 25, 1875)

Why do you want to defile the Constitution by turning the US into a theocracy?
Why do you behave exactly like our enemies in Saudi Arabia and Iran by supporting the second class status of a group of citizens based solely on religious ideology?
Why do you defile this nation by declaring anyone who thinks differently from you an enemy of the nation - a tactic that the Nazis used?
Why do you, while wrapping yourself in the flag, disgrace the Constitution, which makes our nation great?

Why do democrats want to defile our country?
-you mean unlike a person like you sending out such a positive message?-Just look at the majority of your answers and you'll see most of them reflect frustration and anger that a person could be so unthinking and judgmental.
-I'm guessing your imagining your a Christian?-Are theses questions brought to your mind by your God to further spread his work and love?
-I'm thinking you should shut-up until you think things through a little more because you are not embarrassing your faith-your embarrassing yourself!

You're making gross generalizations. A lot of Democrats don't favor abortion, gay marriage and they call Christmas trees Christmas trees.
Observe how people really act and don't let yourself be manipulated by sensational journalism that trades in tirades and nonsense.

well..
A. I didn't hear anyone call them holiday trees... ever...
B. you know... they said the same thing about slavery...
C. what have the repubs did in 6 YEARS WITH THE VOTING MAJORITY AND PRESIDENCY?... in case you don't know much about politics, if they all vote for something, dems can't do much about it (they could fillabuster, but I doubt they would on any of those issues you mentioned)
try blaming the people that have done nothing about those issues instead of blaming the people that couldn't have done anything if they wanted to....
