Ok so here's the deal. Two weeks ago I began to notice that my right foot felt a little swollen and my pinky toe was a little sore. The only thing that I could come up with was the new shoes I had bought a week prior to all of this. So I continued to wear the shoes as well as other shoes and the swelling continued ( to the point that I felt that the shoe was too small) and the pain did as well. I went to my doctor about one week after first having the swelling and the pain. She was concerned that I had broken my toe (x-rays did not show a break). She advised me to take Tylenol and call it a day. A week has passed and the pain is worse to the point that I can only tolerate flip flops for shoes. I now have noticed a sore between the toes that is very painful. My doc is now sending me to a foot doctor. Anyone have any clues as to what is going on? I at this point do not think that it was the shoes so I am a little stumped.

I think your doctor should have checked you for diabetes. I hope the podiatrist can help you!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery! :)
