It's just plain RUDE! Don't they know it takes a lot of thought not to ask a question?

There are a lot of good reasons not to answer questions that are not asked. One main reason is that questions that are not asked are quite hard to understand, since nothing was said, it's hard to know just what it was that the other person didn't ask. Would I want to waste my time writing a response, only to have you tell me that that's not what you weren't talking about? That's sort of like atheists arguing with each other about which God they don't believe in. Also, It's better not to answer a question that was not asked for fear that will someone will think that you're talking to yourself.
