I think that god is not just one of us, but all of us, that divinity wanted to experience what it was to be alive, and so it broke up into an infinite mist and that is where our souls came from. It would make sense then to respect your "neighbor" because he is god, just as you are.

in this case surely wasn't God. A man can't be God. Only once God was a man. but not the reverse. a man has few "powers". in this case can't be God.

you would be personifying the supernatural. Which means you would limiting God.
