Your question is kind of vague so I don't really know how to answer it but do a search for "101st Airborne Division" and you will get plenty of info. Also here is a wikipedia link.
And for the two that said the 101st are "Airborne Rangers" isn't true at all the only Ranger unit in the US military is the 75th Ranger Regiment which is a special operations unit under the command of USSOCOM (United States Special Operations Command) the unified command of all US special operations forces (SF,SEALs,Ranger Regiment,CCT's,PJ's etc). The 101st and the Ranger Regiment have nothing to do with each other.

I believe the 101st Airborne is based out of Ft. Lewis, Washington. They are known as "Airborne Rangers." They parachute into a war zone. Highly trained and considered somewhat of an elite force.

The 101st "Screaming Eagles" is a part of the Army 's Airbourne Division. They are not Rangers. The 101st have stations all over. Not just one base.

Yeh, they are in the U.S. Army branch. They are known as airborne rangers that deploy by air. They are just alike to the other forces. Their standard weapon is a m16 and a sidearm. That's just the basic, but if your writting an essay, you may want to do a little research.
