Not enough car information for price, but the rest a cross member runs from side to side and is used to hold the car together. Control arm is an arm with a ball joint at one end and a mounting point to the car at the other it allows the wheel to move over bumps with out you getting knocked out also it is a pivot point for the wheel so you can turn. Strut is a shock absorber it takes the force of hitting a bump and absorbers it so the car rides smooth and does not bounce all over. Knuckle is the piece at the end of the strut that the wheel mounts to on the out side on the inside it hooks to the steering rack. As for the location of the rest of the parts since it sounds like you hit something look for a large piece of metal running from the left to right that will be the Cross member, the control arm will be mounted to the bottom of the strut most cars it runs back sometimes to the body sometimes to the cross member also bolted to the strut is the knuckle it will have the wheel mounted to it.

Cross member is an anti-roll bar to keep the car from leaning in turns. Control arms are the parts that are attached to the wheel assemblies and the underside of the car body and allow the wheels to move up and down. They pivot on big bolts and rubber insulators to absorb vibration. Struts are modern day shock absorbers that dampen a car's up and down motion. A steering knuckle is the part that attaches the strut with the control arm, disc brake caliper and wheel/hub assembly. All of the these parts are subject to wear and need replacing around 100,000 to 150,000 miles. These are all in the front end of front wheel drive car. Some cars have struts in the rear when they have independent rear suspension.

Chris H was right except for crossmember. The crossmember(s) are rigid frame structures that strengthen the frame or support some other part, such as engine or transmission.
