so my dad gave me a lot of change to cash in, and as i was goin through it i found a penny from 1941, which i have heard was during World War 2. so seeing how this penny is real old, im wonderin if you think, even tho the penny is a little dirty, if anyone would pay a "pretty penny" for my penny? haha, but seriously

Take it to a coin collector shop and see. Does it have a mint mark under the date like an S or a D ? That would make it worth a little more. WW 11 started Dec 7th 1941 for us here in the USA so these pennies were already minted before War broke out. It might bring 25-50 cents

It is perhaps worth 2 or 3 cents. These are still really common - there were over 1 billion pennies minted that year, and they haven't all disappeared yet. I have about 20 of this specific penny in a jar somewhere, along with a few thousand others that I have found over the years.

The only things that might make yours valuable would be if it looked like it was made yesterday - flawless shine with no wear at all. Then you are talking twenty or thirty bucks.

So, would anybody buy it? Perhaps for one or two cents.

Um, that's a good question. There still is a lot of really old change out there if you look. You could just pop in to see an antique dealer and ask. Wouldn't hurt.
