I have a Craftool Round Spot Setter Tool Set. We will actually be working with fabric instead of leather for now. There are no instructions with the tool set.

Wow, tough one. Don't do this kind of thing myself, but was intrigued, so I searched. Only thing I could find was this.

"The handiest and simplest tool for setting spots. Just pencil mark your pattern onto your leather, then pre-hole, and just hand push your spots through. You’ll save money (no wasted spots with ruined prongs). You’ll save time (up to 90% quicker). Will accommodate any leather up to 3/8” thick. "
