I have this friend and I feel that she has not been a good friend to me. Everytime I would tell her my personal business she would make direct but indirect comments to me. It seems as if she has always tried to put me down in some way. I stopped speaking to her a couple of times and when confronted she would make excuses. I feel she is jealous of me. I would give more examples but i want to be discreet.

Well she was talking to this guy who was a professional athlete. They never went out or anything. Well he tried to talk to me and i refused. I never told her. Does anyone think I am wrong for not telling her? I didn't tell her because I felt that she would be more nasty towards me, etc.

How do i get rid of her? it seems like everytime i try to end the friendship, she keeps trying to be friends with me. I think she thought I was naive and oblivious until I started speaking out about it. We also have a lot of mutual friends.

If you are worried about her being nasty to you, you need to move on and end this so called friendship. It is toxic. Friends don't treat friends like that. Find a new friend.

Just phase out slowly from her.Its quite obvious that she is really jealous of you.But you cant help it.Some friends are different and you have to take it in your stride.Just start ignoring her.If she confronts you just let her know of her previous actions and that she has crossed beyond comfort zone.Be firm to her.Good luck.

No, you're not wrong. But I'd be honest and take the cattiness just to flaunt about it. It's hard holding something like that in.
