its 4-6 in. long gray with brown blotches on front half only. white belly that has two rows of tiny pink spots on either side

Try checking out the site below -- it breaks down snakes into several groups, one of which is blotchy snakes without stripes.

Another possibility is a baby black rat snake. They are grey with dark blotches until they grow up. Search for photos of that to confirm.
