I used the Ameda Purely Yours pump w/my daughter and the motor did NOT last very long at all and I had to pump exclusively (just pump, not putting the baby to the breast). I will pump exclusively again so I need a pump that will allow me to pump as often as I need. Thanks in advance for your advice and any help you can offer. I am currently considering the Medela Pump in Style Advanced pump bcuz of the reviews. Thanks again.

I have this pump - its okay. If it is not put together EXACTLY right then there is no pressure. It is really annoying. The little "membrane" (the circle inside) always is in too far or not far enough. hope that helps.

I also agree to go with the Medela Pump In Style. It is a WORKHORSE. I have been using it for 12 months pumping at work total (2-3x/day usually). I've had to replace the membranes once, other than that no maintenance required so far. I love it. I have the Avent Isis, but not their electric IQ breastpump. I liked the manual Isis, but I prefer my PIS to the Isis. But when you compare Medela's manual pump to Avent's, Avent wins hands down.

I know that you asked to only have people who have used the Avent Breast Pump, but if it is anything like there bottles I would stick with the Medela one. Go to www.epinions.com and look up Avent Breast Pumps and the Medela Breast Pumps.

I used the Avent hand pump and was really impressed with it. I had heard hand pumps were hard to use and hurt your hands, but this one was excellent..very easy to use with low pressure for lots of milk and small size so portable if needed.
