I am about to purchase the following parts to completely upgrade my PC. I would like some advice on the components I have chosen. I dont want to spend this money and find out I have made a selection mistake.

MB - Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe S939
Pro - AMD 64 4000+ 1M L2 cache (San Diego)
Ram - 2 x 1GB DDR2 533mhz C4
Graph - XFX GEFORCE 6800GS PV-T42G-UAD7
Case - DabsXtreme Aspire 500 W

P.S. Will all these components come with all the connections/cables/etc I will need to build the PC?

Thanks in advance.

Good choice on the RAM, personally use Kingstone. Geforce cards are xtemely fast. Make sure your case has componets and slots for everything you want to put in it. I recommend investing in a quality case. If you're buying everything brand new, it should come with connections + cables, but it depends on the manufacturer.

That ram is incompatible with that motherboard. s939 boards don't use DDR2 RAM. If you really want that mobo instead of an AM2 version, which is nice too, get DDR400 from Patriot, OCZ, or Corsair XMS C2. Look into the EVGA 7600GT or even a 7900GS instead. You'll be glad you did. Why not get a dual core, they're a lot more future proof, I got a X2 4200+ for under $200 and I OC'd it to 2.7GHz. I highly suggest getting a socket AM2 motherboard, DDR2 (same speed you have listed), and an AM2 X2 4200+. That psu will work for now but don't plan on loading your pc up AND using SLI. a 550 W is recommended. I don't have a source, this is more based on experience with building computers. Good luck.

Good advice, guys, especially since those components won't even work together! Now, that motherboard DOES NOT take DDR2. If you're buying that motherboard, you'll need to be buying some good DDR RAM, not DDR2 RAM.

Since you've chosen the fastest single-core processor on the market, I've got to assume you're planning on using this system for gaming. So, here are my recommendations to you:
1)Buy yourself either a 7600GS, or better yet, a 7600GT video card. Your video card plays a MUCH bigger part in gaming than does your processor.
2)Spend the money on a decent power supply. That one has about half of the power that a reputable brand like Seasonic's 330 watter has. This would be a good psu for you: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817151023 and it's got more than enough power to allow you to overclock, while running two 7600GT's.
3)Don't forget about cooling. This is the cheapest, good cpu heatsink on the market: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835185125 and as a bonus, it comes with the best thermal compound available.

That all looks good, but you may want to jump up the the geforce 6800GT it's better and about the same price.
Not any cables on the parts you listed. You'll want to get a SATA hard drive to go with all that, it will come with the cables you need. You may also need an upgraded power supply depending on what comes with the case your buying... the video card really sucks the power.

I might go with a AMD 3800+X2 Dual-Core processor, socket.939. A Zalmam CPU fan, and use "Arctic Silver" thermal grease.
