that sounds more like braxton hicks contractions, which sometimes can make u cramp too kinda like u do when u are on your period,
most true contractions will start with your back hurting and eventually work its way to your abdomen, your stomache will get hard and it will cramp
i have had 3 kids and with my 1st it started in my abdomen and was just like really bad cramping so every 1 and every pregnancy is different
time the contractions and if they come around at like the same intervals for instance like every 5 minutes then i would say get to the hospital and get checked out it could be the real thing

At first it's not very painful, but later on it will feel like a band going around you and pushing downward. That's abdominal contractions. Back pains get much more intense. And thigh labor, which is not as often feels like a bad leg cramp.
But here's the good news. Can you deal with anything no matter how bad it is if you know it will be done with in a few seconds???
I bet you can even if you don't think that is possible. If you only concentrate on getting through just one contraction at a time, and don't worry about the next contraction, it will make your labor pain a lot better. Don't try to deal with any more than one at a time and you will be fine. But if you keep worrying about this is gonna keep going on and on, it will make your labor worse.
So, take the contractions only one at a time and realize you only have to deal with that one contraction. Then you can deal with the next one the same way. You can do it!!

To me, contractions felt a lot like really bad menstrual cramps. At first, your belly may not feel hard to the touch during the contraction; as your labor progresses, they will become stronger and last longer. They last perhaps a minute at a time, although of course that is very individual; near delivery, they start to come very close together, and you feel the urge to push. If you make a lot of noise, don't let it bother you - that's completely normal, although not everyone does so. Mostly, go with your body as much as you can!

My braxton hicks contractions experience like tightening interior the tummy. It gets tight, has a height 2nd, then releases. My abdomen will turn rock confusing the place my uterus is, and each so often in basic terms on one part. It gets further and extra uncomfortable the further alongside you're. i'm 34 weeks and its beginning to experience extra like a lifeless cramp everytime I also have a contraction. they do no longer final long, in basic terms a minute or much less. actual contractions will start to harm like era-cramps. they commence feeling like braxton hicks contractions, yet they reoccur and improve a trend. in case you start up having extra effective than 5 contractions interior of an hour, then you quite could be in early hard work. The "5-a million-a million" rule is to call your well being care expert while your contractions 5 minutes aside, lasting a million minute long, for an hour or extra.

at first it might just feel like you have cramps(pretty much like the way you do during your period) yes your stomach will get hard and there will be a lot of pressure in your pelvic area or even your lower back depending on the position of the baby. in the beginning it wont last long and wont really hurt just mild discomfort...but as it does on the time between the contrations will lessen and the pressure and pain will get more intense.

your stomach will get very hard. Sometimes you can feel it in your lower stomach and then it will go on up to the top of your stomach. Your back will also hurt when having them. At first they may not even hurt you will just feel your belly getting tight but eventually days, weeks or so they will start to get stronger and hurt more.

Increasing lower back pain with tightening of the stomach and cramps or pressure. Start timing the distance between them and when they begin getting closer, its time to go.

very sharp pains worse than cramping on your period. it all depends on the baby. it can last a few seconds or a few minutes. there can be pressure, like you wanna push, but that's just the baby preparing for for the birth. hopefully, your birth goes smoothly. And when they ask if you want drugs for the pain, SAY YES!!!!!
