There was a lizard biologist I heard of once called Katherine Troyer. Maybe she will know, but you will have to find her!

Although I don't know any lizard docs, I do know that lizards are far removed from dinosaurs. Crocodiles are probably closer to dinosaurs. It has been demonstrated that birds are closer to crocks genetically then they are to lizards and in my opinion, birds are living dinosaurs.
