what does fish oil when taken in a capsule do for you?

its full of omega 3's which are great for the heart! it is used for other reasons too...my son who is a vegan, who would now be considered a pecto-lacto vegan takes it too!

Fish oil in capsules may or may not be as good for you as the pure fresh fish oil. I take a liter of fish oil a month. It doesn't taste good, but I take it with a glass of water or orange juice. The problems with some pill companies is that in making the gelatin capsules, they end up heating the oils to a temperature that can destroy the delicate properties of omega 3 and 6's. Healthy oil can easily be oxidized or hydrogenated with heat application. Perhaps they have pills that have been made in some sort of cold setting?

Financially, it is really a better use of your money, though, to buy the oil. It would cost me twice as much money to get the same nutrition in pills that I get in one spoon of my seal oil. I would have to take 4 pills to get the same benefits.

By the way, fish oil has helped me with dry eye. That's why I take it. It also helps with cholesterol and keeping your blood vessels healthy. :)

I met an arthritic fella who takes them for his joints and claim they help.


Also a pin prick in the capsule and voila! you have a great lubricant for many uses like door hinges, fishing reels, and such!

I take fish oil for my knees and hands I have rheumatoid arthritis...it helps my joints not to degenerate as fast..also i take it for my blood pressure.it keeps my pressure normal without the expensive meds..

It helps to lower cholesterol and is I prefer it to eating fish. Also it is very good for your skin, nails and hair.
