Superman was first, but his comic was called "Action Comics"
Batman was not long after and his was called "Dectective Comics"

Superman first appeared in the Action Comics #1 in June 1938
Batman first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in November 1940 I believe.

Ofcourse Superman, it came around 1930s-1935s, it entered the market end of 1933s. Batman came after 1940s i m not sure whts the precise date for batman. Batman is more famous now bcs of technology advancement towards his gadgets not like in the past.
