"In 1963 Laura Bush was involved in a fatal car accident when she ran a stop sign and crashed into another car, killing her boyfriend Michael Dutton Douglas who was driving the other car. According to the two-page accident report released by the city of Midland, neither driver was drinking and no charges were filed." Although no sobriety tests were done on the scene, and she was on her way to a party, where booze flowed like the Jordan, and cocaine was in a huge bowl set out on the coffee table.

It's true. She was involved in a major traffic accident in 1962.
She was speeding and ran a stop sign on Farm Road 868 in Midland, Texas. The occupant of the other car, which was a 1962 Corvair, was her good friend, a guy by the name of Michael Douglas (not the actor). Michael Douglas died of a broken neck on the way to the hospital.
In fairness to Mrs. Bush, it was a bad, terrible accident. She didn't do it on purpose and I'm sure it's haunted her since (I'm a Democrat by the way).
It's in a book about her called "The Perfect Wife. The Life and Choices of Laura Bush" by Ann Gerhart.

It's the truth. Laura Bush actually hit and killed a boyfriend of hers in a freak car accident.

The TRUTH is...She was in a car accident when she was 17yrs. old. Ran a stop sign, and a classmate in the other car was killed. Now leave the woman alone.

It's true. But it was an accident. It was a good friend of hers who was killed. She felt terrible, and still doesn't like to talk about it.

Yes, it was a car accident. I believe she was at fault, she was like under 20 years old I think and it was hardly reflective of an immoral person. And I HATE her husband.
